Industrial Planning

Before the shed, understand the workflow.

Why operational planning and a clear SOP belong at the start of an industrial project.

An industrial building needs to support the way a business works. Its planning starts by understanding the operations it will contain.

Map the process

Follow the movement of materials, staff, vehicles and finished goods. A documented workflow and SOP help identify the relationships between different operational areas.

Translate operations into space

Equipment, storage, circulation, service access and future requirements all contribute to the area brief. The shed footprint should respond to that brief.

Coordinate early

Design and applicable departmental requirements should be considered alongside operations. A coordinated project team can help bring these workstreams together.
